This article analyzes the main problems of editorial management for digital scientific publications. It is a descriptive field study, in which a search and recovery of previous published works, such as articles and editorial notes, as well as the systematization of experiences of an Ecuadorian academic journal of economics and finance, with digital format and open access, which starts its activities in 2020, was carried out. The experiences were compiled from information provided by the editor-in-chief of the journal, the coordinator of the scientific committee and a reviewer belonging to the international committee. The results show that there are editorial problems that may arise during the management of the publication of scientific articles, which may be the responsibility of the author, the reviewer or the editor, depending on the case; as well as deficiencies in the use of information and communication technologies to support the management and publication of articles. It is concluded that the success of the publication of scientific papers in academic journals depends on the application of sequential editorial processes and the technological support available to the publisher.
2024-07-04T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 https://weeditors.org/Journals/index.php/journals/article/view/1 Public policies for scientific dissemination and divulgation: a theoretical review from the Peruvian contex 2024-07-03T03:53:05+00:00 Kerwin Chávez Vera kerwinchavez@gmail.com África Calanchez Urribarri calanchezafrica@gmail.com Mariby Boscan maribyboscan@yahoo.com
This article aims to analyze the public policies promoted in Peru to encourage research. To this end, a documentary study was carried out; a content analysis was conducted, with information from articles published in databases of worldwide impact Scimago Journal / Country Rank; laws and regulations, as well as reports and official records from national agencies, such as the National Superintendence of Education (SUNEDU). The content analysis method allowed for a systematic description and a critical and reflexive analysis of the information. The results obtained show a favorable growth in the number of scientific publications, but slow when compared to other Latin American countries. This situation is due to the parameters established by the State, as well as the institutional capacity required for the design, implementation and evaluation of policies, which are key factors for success. It is concluded that public policy on science, technology and innovation in Peru often aims to have a greater visibility of science as a way to promote and increase the collection of knowledge in journals and universities.
2024-07-04T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 https://weeditors.org/Journals/index.php/journals/article/view/5 A selfie of Praxis Pedagogica journal from the perspective of Google Scholar metrics 2024-11-19T02:31:03+00:00 Benjamín Barón-Velandia bbaron@uniminuto.edu Adriana Marcela Gómez Bermúdez adriana.gomez.b@uniminuto.edu Erica María Ossa Taborda ericaossapta@gmail.com
The article presents an analysis of Praxis Pedagógica journal’s self-perception within the field of education, with a particular focus on its influence on research that explores pedagogical practices. This study aimed to “detect mental health disorders among researchers.” A documentary methodology was
followed using the PRISMA Method, as well as a qualitative analysis (conducted with AtlasTi software). The findings reveal
that researchers face numerous challenges that affect their mental health, such as institutional pressure, lack of resources,
and job instability, which can lead to problems such as academic burnout syndrome (ABUS), stress, dissatisfaction, and mental
and emotional exhaustion. Depression and anxiety have a significant impact on their personal and professional lives, with
perceived stress being an influential factor in low personal fulfillment. Factors such as material incentives, a suitable organizational environment, and spiritual motivation can improve mental health, especially in mid-career researchers and those
who work overtime. Burnout is a growing problem among young researchers, and the COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated
these issues, particularly among women and young people, underscoring the need for effective interventions to improve
their well-being. The main contribution of this work is to highlight the need to intensify the inward focus of the academic
community on a critical issue such as the mental health of researchers.
2024-12-28T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024
