Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The papers must deal with research that impacts editorial decisions, and these may be theoretical or empirical studies of a local, regional and international order. The authors must guarantee that the papers presented are unpublished and are not being nominated in other research journals. If the case arises, the author may be sanctioned with non-publication for an indefinite period in the journal. The maximum number of accepted authors is four (4), exceptionally up to six (6) may be accepted with due justification.

All works undergo an initial evaluation by the Editor and the Editorial Committee (made up of experts in the various areas of knowledge), after approval the referees are assigned, for which the Editorial Committee reserves the right to publish articles that meet the publication criteria established in the Journal. The works that pass this evaluation will be refereed by specialists in the area of ​​knowledge, specifically through the “double blind” method. In order to be published, two positive evaluations must be obtained, even if they present corrections.

The works will be submitted via the Web in two ways: 1) Registration in the OJS System (Open Journal System), accepting the established editorial standards and transferring the publication rights. It is important that the author(s) data be filled out correctly in the registration; or 2) Through the email wile@highrateco.com.

After the review by the respective referees (which should not exceed 6 weeks), the author or authors are informed of the necessary correction(s) required by the referees if accepted. In the same way, they will communicate via the Web the acceptance or rejection of the article.

The works can be presented in Spanish, English and Portuguese, but they will always be published in English preferably. It must have a summary with a maximum length of two hundred and fifty (250) words; It must also contain between five (5) and ten (10) keywords in each one. The summary must contain: objective, methodology and most important results.

The accepted length of the work will be between 15 and 25 pages. Longer works may be accepted depending on their relevance and content.

The structure of the articles must be as follows:

For the design: its organization on the first pages is specified in point 5.

For the content: Summary, Introduction, Body (which will depend on the type of research), Conclusions and Bibliographic References.  If there are notes, they will be made at the foot of the page. Mathematical symbols and formulas must be made with the respective function in the text editor or supporting program. Graphics, tables and images must have their title and source; if necessary, they must be presented in additional files. 

Bibliographic references cited in the text must appear in the list of references at the end of the work (and vice versa). Note carefully that all references are marked, that the spelling of the authors' names corresponds, and that the dates given in the text are the same as those in the references. Avoid quotes from unreliable sources, especially in cases on the Internet. The citations will be in the traditional format Surnames (year, p.), removing the number of pages for cases of paraphrasing or use of the idea, in case of documents from organizations, the name of the organization or institution (year) is cited, in If there are more than two authors, the word et al must be added. before the year (only in citations, since it must appear complete in references). If the quote is verbatim of more than 40 words, it must be separated into a 1-space block with an indentation of 5 spaces between the right and left margins.

Likewise, bibliographic references must be written in alphabetical order by the last name of the (first) author and in hanging indentation. Multiple references from the same author (or identical group of authors) are ordered by year of publication. If the year of publication is also the same, differentiate them by writing a letter a, b, c, etc., after the year, the format that will be used Likewise in dating.

To reference different types of documents, APA 7th edition standards must be followed.
